This week the children have been learning about mammals and reptiles with Miss Free and Miss DeVee! They voted on the type of lizard they would like to have as a class pet and chose the Green Anole lizard which can be found in many of our back yards! Miss Free and Miss DeVee brought a special visitor this morning for us to enjoy together as our new class pet...our very own Green Anole!!! The children were beyond excited! We placed him in his special habitat of dirt and bark, placed a water bowl and some delicious crickets for him to enjoy! We set him up in the Science Center where we can observe him and care for him. He is a beautiful green! We tried to snap some pictures of him, but he liked hiding at the top so we did the best we could. Hopefully he will grow more comfortable in his new home and we can capture some better pictures soon! We look forward to learning about this special lizard next week and watching him in his habitat. Enjoy!
