Sea Horse Part I

We have been busy learning about sea horses!  We spent several days reading and researching information about sea horses.  Once we gathered enough information we decided to make a plan to build a sea horse for our pod!  Below you will find pictures and details about our learning process!  We hope you enjoy!

Emma, Campbell, and Holland reading books about sea horses.

Quin, Jaden, Sam, and Jiwon researching online...

Brylee, Ashlyn, Aiden, and Caroline J. researching sea horses..

Caroline M. and Jasmyn checking our list of questions...

Sofia, Omaya, and Yasmine learning about sea horses...

Now it was time to make a plan for construction.  Here is a list of our steps...

Sea Horse Building Plan
1. Read and research facts about the sea horse.
2. Learn about their habitat.
3. Collect and gather materials.
4. Use the materials to make the sea horse and the habitat.
5. Write facts to show others what we have learned.
6. Label the parts of the seahorse and habitat.

Then we discussed how we would make the sea horse.  Two options were suggested.  One option was for everyone to work together on all parts of the building.  The other suggestion was to sign up for a special job.  We took a vote and the children decided to sign up for jobs!  Here are a list of our jobs and team members...
